Product research for complex risk, insurance, and safety software.

I work across Origami Risk's product organization to help teams understand what users need, evaluate how well proposed solutions meet those needs, and make stronger product decisions before development moves too far.

My work sits between research, product strategy, UX, and design. I partner with Product Managers, Designers, Engineering, AI teams, UI/UX Quality, internal subject matter experts, and customers throughout discovery, concept development, validation, and refinement.

I help product teams move from assumptions to evidence by finding the right questions, studying how people work, and turning what we learn into clear product direction.

AI-enabled design and development tools to move quickly from insight to interactive concept. Tools like Magic Patterns and Replit help me build product concepts, explore alternative flows, refine interactions, and test ideas without waiting for a traditional design-to-development handoff.

AI helps me move faster, but it does not replace the design thinking. I use my product and UX judgment to shape the output, making decisions about information hierarchy, interaction patterns, layout, content, states, accessibility, and how much effort a workflow asks from the person using it.

Sometimes that means changing the flow entirely. Other times, it means making a small adjustment, such as reducing unnecessary steps, changing the placement of an action, clarifying feedback, or making sure the interface behaves the way users already expect.

The result is a faster loop between research, design, testing, and refinement. AI helps me build and explore more quickly; my design experience determines what deserves to be built.

My responsibilities included:

  • Built research plans around complex product initiatives spanning discovery, concept evaluation, usability, and validation.

  • Create a blended heuristic analysis approach combining Nielsen Norman usability principles, information hierarchy and content, product context, and Origami's Fold design system.

  • Use Maze and customer research to collect scalable qualitative and quantitative feedback on product concepts.

  • Turn research findings into prioritized recommendations for Product Managers and that I could apply to prototypes and requirements.

  • Partner with teams during wireframe reviews to separate usability problems, new requirements, product decisions, and future research needs.

  • Help establish repeatable research workflows, documentation, reporting, and research records so findings stay connected to the products and features they inform.

  • Use AI-assisted design and development tools, including Magic Patterns and Replit, to turn research findings into interactive product concepts faster, then refined layouts, interactions, hierarchy, and system behavior through a human-centered UX lens.

In my humble opinion – Design is everything.

Regardless of what’s being created, having a foundational understanding of how to communicate, how to create a bridge between what you are offering and how people need to perceive it are key.

Whether I’m shaping a brand, building a user flow, or guiding someone toward transformation, I see design as the bridge between your offer and the world that awaits it.
